I am sorry that you are currently needing to close yours down. :( It sucks to feel that way. I have had mine be friends only since about a month after I made it. It still makes me kind of sad that it is sometimes necessary.

you don't have to sweetie. I was just offering you my sympathy that it is needed. Anytime you have to up your personal securities just sucks in general.

Hey, sorry to bother you at home, as it were.

I'm in the MAC community, and I remember that you researched the FDA and MAC lab approvals for pigments, and at the time, Dark Soul wasn't yet defined [as in, the safe uses weren't yet defined].

So, that was months ago, and I was wondering if you ever found out? MAC artists still tell me that their round edged glitters are safe for use in the eye area, and I still get annoyed at that. They sold me Dark Soul without batting an eyelash, either, and since it has a mica glitter to it, I began to wonder.

Your thoughts?

Mica and glitter are two differant things. Mica is a naturally occurring substance, and is used in everything. Mica is not dangerous to the eye area. The reason for the Dark Soul debate is an FDA issue where they are re-considering the saftey of some of the pigments that make up Dark Soul.

So, what you're telling me is that it's undecided at the moment?

I complained to the MAC website that they aren't forthcoming enough about the safety of the products. After all... I think a lot of regular people who don't hook up to a group like the MAC community wouldn't know the stuff we do, the stuff that should be directly credited to you. If it weren't for you, no one would have put more than a moments thought into the pigments.

I know for a fact that some girls (and guys too, I guess) don't read the sheet inside. That's a problem.

Anyway, listen, thanks for everything. For bringing up the whole issue of safety in the first place, and for doing the research into the safety and uses of the pigments. It matters to some people, I'm just not sure they thanked you, but I will.

Hey, I'm about to go on the birthright tour. Might have left you another comment a few weeks ago, but I'm not sure if you got it or not. My friend liberpolly just linked me to you, so I figured I'd stop over and say hey again. My name is Rachel, and I'm going to Israel on the 3rd. We have many similar interests, and seeing that you'll be going makes me feel better about the whole crowd in general. How do you know Liberpolly, if you don't mind my asking. What trip are you signed up with? I've got a few things that I'm less than impressed with in regards to this trip that have popped up lately, but I'm not going to sit and gossip about things.

We'd been reading each others journals for a while last year, and we ended up hanging out at a bizarre party in Seattle. (is there any other kind over there?) Good times. He's always called me on my bullshit, and his art is incredible.

I'm going on the main one. Singles would have been unbearable for me, and gay pride was full. No worries about not responding... this is the internet after all. I was stalked on here for over a year. In fact, the guy is still obsessed with me. Wouldn't dare to allow anonymous comments.

I'm somewhat familiar with your scene in Pittsburgh, but nothing that I know too well.

I'm going with Hillel, on the Spirituality trip- although we got thrown in with the environmental and the outdoor adventure trip, so really I've ended up on an environmental adventure trip, with an extra visit to temple. -sigh-
