3 is a bit on the small side -- I think 5 would be reasonable. Then again, a limit on post numbers might compel people to limit the small pointless posts and boring quiz results and whatnot.

However, nooooooooooooo comment limits. That would suck so much. Long tangental comment strings gooood.

If they actually start to implement some real limits here (or if the site gets any slower at all) I think I might go into withdrawal. Eep.

I will again extend my offer to make free blogs for all of my friends who want them at shadyhouse.com. Look at mine (http://reverie.shadyhouse.com) to see what this means. It's lacking some things, like friends-only posts and comment threading, so it may not be for you. But it features some cool things that LJ doesn't have -- such as speed, the ability to completely customize the appearance of your site (and I have some not-very-technically-inclined friends who have been able to do a lot), and TrackBacks. Trackbacks are kinda like comments, except they link to other posts that are part of a thread, so that people can have extended conversations without leaving their own sites. And not exactly a feature of the site itself, but you can use news readers to check for updates to your friends' eljays and blogs -- I have one running all the time and it lets me know about any new posts that happen. It rules.
